What can I say… it is exceptional. It is like staying at your billionaire friends house and all the staff is available for you 24/7. The design of the hotel is an experience in itself! It is not a crowded hotel and if you expect a lively vibe and people hanging in a hotel bar this is not the place. At least not when we were there. We didn’t leave the hotel once we got there and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. We had breakfast lunch and dinner there throughout our stay and it was all really nice. Very private. We stayed in a room where the aircon was quite noisy and we mentioned it and they immediately arranged a different room so we got to try 2 different rooms. Gym was good Pool was nice - small but nice. View from the rooms is stunning. Rooms are fascinatingly beautifully built. The beach is not a sandy beach. There are rocks so it’s not the best place swim in the sea. See this place as you visiting a friends house (Willy Wonka’s summer residence) and not a hotel. We were treated like royals. So thank you Muki for having us in your hotel - you did a beautiful job building and designing it.

A quirky, bespoke property put together by the owner/hotelier. A lovely location, quiet and peaceful although it’s a bit off the beaten track and you really need a car or personal transport if you stay for any length of time.

No major complaints but it would have been difficult to rely on in-house dining alone and the hotel is far from other dining options. We had a car do that wasn’t a problem for us.

Our stay at Ampersand was amazing. The hotel is super cute and welcoming charm was evident from the moment we arrived. As a vegan, we were happy with the exceptional breakfast that was arrange specially for us. The room was a perfect blend of spaciousness and coziness, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Its tranquility was enhanced by the hotel's quiet location and its charming little beach, offering a peaceful retreat. Dinner was so tasty, that could be made as vegan as well. Above all, the service was fantastic the staff were attentive and genuinely caring, making our stay truly memorable. In short, wonderful choice for anyone, especially those seeking comfort and serenity. Highly recommended <3

The hotel is owned and run by Muki and his partner Biw, and it shows in every way. They personally take care of all the guests' needs. Where other hotels are very anonymous, here you feel like you are among friends. For example, Muki really helped me get a place on the ferry from Koh Samui to the mainland. I didn't have to worry about a thing. And it all worked out beautifully. The rooms are different too. They are very individual, spacious and just beautiful. We also liked the little beach. It's just for the guests and you're on your own. Ok, if you want to go for long walks on the beach, then the beach is not for you. But it's perfect for just relaxing and swimming. Overall we felt very comfortable and would come back any time. We wish Muki & Biw continued success and all the best!

A unique hotel, designed and managed by the owner Muky. Very stylish down to the smallest detail. In conversation with Muky, one feels that the hotel is a passion project. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with just as many details as the rest of the hotel. The small private beach with a pool makes the hotel even more special than it already is. It is a small paradise where one feels completely at ease. The host Muky is always present and helps with everything he can. His suggestions, from spa treatments to boat tours, were all skillfully chosen.

The property was unique in so many ways , from the design to the peaceful demure of the hotel . The 24 service from the staff is unrivalled and nothing is too much trouble for them . All in all this is one of the most enjoyable stays we have ever experienced

Ampersand resort is the most special hotel I have been to and I have traveled a lot. What makes it special is the amazing heart and hospitality of the host and owner Muky. The hotel has an excellent private location, great design, very spacious rooms; private beach and beautiful pool and peaceful atmosphere. Muky is delivering everything you need from car rental, through wonderful cooking and all the inside tips for the island. We had an incredible beach dinner. Well, you will feel in heaven just follow Muky and you he will lead you there!

The property has been very aesthetically done in the shades of white, one of the best I’ve seen. The rooms are beautiful and the hosts are amazing Specially, muky. Hospitality is top class with Muky going out of his way to help guests.

The location is a bit away from main areas and the beach is rocky with no one there. You need a car to navigate the town.

The staff was very friendly and supportive, especially Muki who was very accomdating. The hotel, ambience, and the sea view was lovely. And the location was in a peaceful quiet area which some might appreciate.

Not a deal breaker for me but the gym equipment could use a touch-up.

Walking into this hotel is like walking into a dream - it’s sheer beauty took my breath away. The first thing that hits you is the light, absolute tranquility and the bird chatter that fills the airy reception. You just wander in and immediately feel like exploring. It’s curvy walls and spiralling stair cases and nooks and crannies are like a perfect meeting of Gaudi meets Tim Burton and each twist and turn makes you want to keep going. Curling stairs, curved glass, twisting paths, natural stone, handmade furniture, round beds, spiralling tile work - everything feels organic and tactile. It’s one of the most, if not, the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It turns out the owner, Muky, who is an unassuming genius (and during our stay baked delicious bread for breakfast) designed and built the hotel himself - including cutting the glass for the windows and building the furniture and it oozes every drop of love and dedication he has obviously poured into creating this work of art. The rooms, curvy of course, are massive and curl around a luxurious round, comfy bed. There’s a good sized balcony with stunning views across the hotel grounds - which includes a miniature working amphitheater, down to the sea. The room has everything you’d expect from mini bar to kettle and quality robes, puffy slippers of course. En-suite is large and curvy with a round shower. It’s spotlessly clean and in tip top shape and built to make you stop and sit and ponder. The pool is large and deep with a shallow section for kids or lounging - and of course curvy. You can dine on fresh fish or other delicious food down by the pool in a shaded dining area or up in the airy restaurant. There’s a small bay that’s good for paddling but too rocky to swim although that might change according to the season. I think it’s deeper at various times of the year according to tides.

The resort was beautifully designed, with handmade wooden furniture, curved stone benches and marble tiles consistent throughout. It was really relaxing being in such a beautiful space for our time there. The rooms, foyer, pool area and balconies with a view were all huge highlights for us. The service was incredible and we are fortunate to have met Muky, our host, who could share his story of how he built the resort. We’ll be back!

We are exercise enthusiasts, and the gym was a little small.
